Black Bean Quinoa Burger

Ingredients

  • 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1/4 cup quinoa

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 1/4 cup minced yellow bell

  • 2 tbsp minced onion

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1.5 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp hot sauce

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Make

  1. Boil quinoa and water. Reduce to simmer 15-20 min
  2. Roughly mash beans, leaving some whole beans
  3. Mix ingredients except oil, mash with hands and form patties
  4. Heat oil in skillet, cook 2-3 min per side
