Strawberry Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

  • 3 Tbsp warm water

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced in half

  • zest and juice from 1/2 small lemon

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Make

  1. Whisk cornstarch and water together until cornstarch is dissolved
  2. Heat all ingredients in small saucepan over medium heat, simmer for 5 minutes stirring constantly
  3. Remove from heat and cool
