Reuben Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices rye bread

  • butter

  • 1 lb corned beef

  • swiss cheese

  • sauerkraut, pressed to remove juices

  • tomato, sliced (optional)

  • Thousand Island dressing

Make

  1. Top buttered bread with corned beef, cheese, sauerkraut, and tomatoes
  2. Grill over medium heat on each side until bread is toasted and cheese is melted
  3. Add desired amount of dressing onto the sandwich, and serve with extra dressing on the side for dipping

NOTES |

  • For a quick homemade Thousand Island, mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 Tbsp ketchup, 2 Tbsp sweet relish, 1/4 tsp onion powder, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce

  • Cut it diagonally or don’t cut it at all
