Mommom's Avodado Chicken

Ingredients

  • 6-8 chicken breast halves

  • 8-12 oz fresh mushrooms

  • 6 Tbsp butter

  • 4 Tbsp flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp rosemary

  • 1/2 tsp dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce

  • 2 avocados

  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Make

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to crockpot
  2. Saute mushrooms in 2 Tbsp butter and add to crockpot
  3. Heat 4 Tbsp butter and stir in 4 Tbsp flour. Gradually add milk and broth
  4. Bring to boil and add cheese and spices, then pour over chicken
  5. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours
  6. Top with toasted almonds and sliced avocados
