Mom's Spaghetti And Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 48 oz can tomato juice

  • 24 oz tomato paste

  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 2 onions, chopped

  • 1 green pepper, chopped

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • (+ 2 lbs for meatballs)

Make

  1. Mix all ingredients except beef in large pot
  2. Heat over medium heat to good simmer, cover and reduce heat to medium low
  3. Roll beef into 1.5 in meatballs, reserving 1 lb for meat sauce
  4. Cook meatballs over medium heat, add to sauce
  5. Cook ground meat in skillet until browned
  6. Add cooked meat to sauce, simmer until onions and peppers are soft
