Creamy Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1.75 - 2 lbs yukon gold potatoes, cut into large chunks

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • salt

  • pepper

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup milk, heated

Make

  1. Put potatoes in pot and cover with cold water by an inch
  2. Add 1/2 tsp salt and boil
  3. Simmer 15-20 minutes till tender
  4. Drain, dump back into pot, mash
  5. Beat in butter and hot milk by 1/4 cup increments
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic if desired
