Basmati Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice

  • 1.75 cups water

  • 1.5 Tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Make

  1. Soak rice in cold water for 15 min, gently stirring to release excess starch. Drain
  2. Bring 1.75 cups water, butter, salt, and rice to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender
  3. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 5 minutes
