Cook Chickpeas


Instructions

  1. Soak 1 lb dried chickpeas overnight in large bowl with plenty of water, or quick soak by boiling for 2 minutes and then cover off of heat and let soak for 1 hour.
  2. In large pot, add chickpeas and 1 tsp baking soda. Cook over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add 7 cups water and big pinch of salt and bring to boil. Simmer for 40 minutes to 1.5 hours or until tender.
